I am looking for a movie i saw years ago. i have no idea what its called or who is in it, just a basic plot?

this movie gave me nightmares, i saw it on tv when i was younger. all i remember about it was that this woman was kidnapped and she was in like a basement with this little girl, i think her name was ariel, or muriel or something. the woman was handcuffed and i remember her trying to get the little girl to use a drill and get the handcuffs off, but the girl was like catatonic, she was traumatized, and she wouldnt use the drill, she just kept dropping it. he had either buried the girl alive or threatened to bury her alive or something like that. its very frustrating but this is about all i can remember. can someone help me figure out what this stinkin' movie was?!
