My haddon's carpet anemone won't eat, anyone know why?

My carpet anemone won't eat anything but looks fine except the mouth is a strong purple color, i don't know if this is normal. I try to feed it chipped oyster and krill, when ever i put it in it either wont hold on to it or the clowns take it away. I know its alive because it almost got my shrimp and the tentacles were sticking to the shrimp but it got away. Anyone know what the problem may be?
